FODMAP Diet Coach

Trained on the use of a low FODMAP diet for IBS by Monash University, I can guide you through the process. This elimination and re-introduction diet aims to support those diagnosed with IBS to identify triggers and treat symptoms.

About me

My name is Beth Penney, I am 48yrs old, married and have four children aged 15yrs-21yrs. I am passionate about all things health and fascinated by the complexity of the human body and its incredible ability to regulate and heal itself. I am on a constant journey of self growth and education, learning the latest science in relation to human health and longevity. As a graduate of the  International School of Medicinal Nutrition, I am qualified to guide individuals or groups through the misinformation and confusion surrounding good health practices.  Most people are tired of not feeling their best and potentially being stuck on a 'diet' which never works long term. I believe that the body can heal itself and balance itself as it was designed to do. If you are concerned about the diseases of old age or your current health and want to invest in your future self, then you are in the right place!

What makes your 1:1 coaching programme unique?

As a nutritional and lifestyle coach, I will be with you every step of the way, guiding you through the various aspects of health and nutrition.  Each of the eight  hour long session will not only educate you on the new science and advice but equipe you with changes to try to implement based on your individual lifestyle and situation. I will be availble throughout by email or whatsapp to support you while you make any changes.

How can a nutrition and lifestyle consultations help me?

A stand alone 90mins session can help you to identify if a full coaching programme is of interest.  Within this session I would give an overview on the new dietary and lifestyle advice which can lead to real longterm results. 

What topics do your staff talks cover?

I offer a Health and Lifestyle session to educate staff on good lifestyle and nutrition practises to improve their overall health:

- The basic functions of the human body and how energy is utilised

- How the human body self regulates and heals itself

-  What a calories is and why they don't count

- The importance of movement and muscle mass for longevity

- Ultra processed foods and their impact on our health

- The new science of the gut microbiome 

- The importance of stress reduction and quality sleep

- Practicle steps to make towards overall health improvements

This session could lead to further individual talks focusing on specific areas such as improvements in sleep, movement and menapause symptom management

What is a FODMAP Coach

Once you have been diagnosed with IBS by your GP, a FODMAP diet may have been suggested as a way to control symptoms. FODMAPs are a group of fermantable carbohydrates which result in digestive discomfort for those with IBS or IBS symptoms such as bloating. The FODMAP diet is an elimination and re-introduction diet designed to identify triggers and determin which foods to avoid or eat in moderation. I would coach you though each of the three phases of the diet, explaining in details how the diet works and supporting you through the process.
